Candidates running for the 8th District Congressional seat vacated by retired House Speaker John Boehner will be featured at a February 18 candidate forum in Centerville.
Fifteen Republicans, one Democrat and one Green Party candidate are vying for the job.
The 8th Congressional District covers all of Butler, Preble, Darke, Miami, and Clark counties and part of Mercer County.
The candidate event is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Civista Bank, 29 W. Whipp Road. It is sponsored by the Dayton Region Manufacturers Association.
Candidates will make brief introductions and the rest of the evening will be devoted to networking, giving attendees the opportunity to speak to candidates one-on-one.
It is open to the public and costs $10 for DRMA members and $20 for non-members. There will be complimentary beer, wine, soft drinks and light food.
